We stop it, we don't stop it, we stop it, we don't...

It has been for a long time on my mind: I should stop breast-feeding Antonia. It is really time, I am sure she has built up all that basic trust everybody talks about, she should actually eat more solid food; and the thought of independence and autonomy is getting stronger in my mind. I am ready, she is not. Nevertheless, this week it should happen, i had a 2 days trip planned to Denmark, and Tanya was alone with Antonia. Our thought, hope, was that we would simply forget about it during those 2 days. Well, we were quite wrong. After those 2 days of abstinence (which she survived quite well), she insisted, no, demanded it more than ever. I never heard her screaming like that (really, like a pig), nearly broke my sweater. Well, after a short time of resistance my mother heart went soft again and poor child, absence of mother AND no breast is too much, and and and...there she was again, attached to her property. This is harder than I thought and I know it is not getting easier with time. But, I will try again, next time with plan, slowly, "ausschleichen" how my sister called it. On a side note,  the first two days and nights without Mama Christina went surprisingly well and both teams kind of enjoyed their short-term freedom :).
